North Laine Guide
Best pub
The Dorset. It’s a great all-rounder. The food is decent, the staff are friendly and it’s a great place to settle in on an afternoon and watch the world go by. It also worth keeping a lookout for their live music nights.
Best place to eat
Isaac At is the new kid on the Brighton culinary block and is fully deserving of the rave reviews. For something more established it would be wrong not to mention the legend that is the Chilli Pickle – truly exceptional Indian cuisine.
Best thing to see or do
Possibly a wine tasting at Ten Green Bottles, or a show at the Theatre Royal, or visit a pop-up art exhibition at the Jubilee Library, or rummage round Snoopers Paradise… Let’s face it, this is North Laine in Brighton, there is no shortage of things to see or do.
Best Kept Secret
Don’t just stick to the main streets in North Laine. Some of the side streets house some real gems, take Upper Gardner Street for example, along there you’ll find a smashing restaurant in Silo, and a handful of the best antique shops and flea markets.
