Q Estate Agents – Privacy Policy

At Q Estate Agents, we are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of our customers and visitors to our website. In particular, we want you to know that Q Estate Agents do not share our customers contact details, (including, but not limited to, names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers) with other companies and businesses for marketing purposes. But just in case you don’t believe us, in this Privacy Policy, we’ve provided lots of detailed information on when and why we collect your personal information, how we use it, the limited conditions under which we may disclose it to others and how we keep it secure.

Website Cookies

Our website uses cookies to collect information.  This includes information about browsing and purchasing behaviour by people who access our websites.  This includes information about pages viewed, products purchased and the customer journey around our websites. Detailed information is set out in our Cookie Policy.

Google Analytics

When someone visits our website we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.

Mailing Lists

As part of the registration process for our regular e-newsletters and market news, we collect personal information. We use that information for a couple of reasons: to tell you about stuff you’ve asked us to tell you about; to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information; to check our records are right and to check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied. We don’t rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses.
We use a third-party provider, Briefyourmarket, to deliver our newsletter. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-marketing. For more information, please see Briefyourmarket’s Privacy Policy. You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time of the day or night by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails or by emailing our data protection officer James Beale.

Property Search

As with our general mailing lists, we take your personal information very seriously when you register for a property search. We use your details, such as name, telephone number, and email address in order to contact you about property as it comes to the market. We may also use these contact details to ensure your search criteria is always up-to-date. We do not share this information with any third parties. At the bottom of any email correspondence from us will be an option to change your consent settings or unsubscribe.
If your initial contact with our company was through one of the property portals, including but not limited to Rightmove, Zoopla, Prime Location, On The Market, consent will have been given at that stage for us to contact you. We will only send your details of other homes, special offers, and e-newsletters once we’ve introduced ourselves and gained your consent to do so.

Who we share information with

In order to deliver the highest levels of service it is, on occasion, necessary for us to share our customer’s information with property service providers such our Utility management company, Homeshift and Uni Homes. This will never be done without our customers express consent or if it is necessary to fulfill our contractual obligations. Any contact from these companies would be by prior arrangement and would not involve unsolicited calls or emails. Any company or individual would be bound by their own privacy policy.  On other occasions we will have a legitimate reason to share your data with another company, for example to fulfill the terms of contract.  Such an instance would be our Tenant Referencing partner Vouch.  In this instance you will be provided with or have access to the 3rd party companies own Privacy policy.

Under GDPR you are entitled to view, amend, or delete the personal information that we hold. Email your request to our data protection officer Jim Quintana at jim@qestateagents.co.uk
