Maintenance Contacts for existing Tenants

Our office hours are 9am to 6pm on weekdays and 10am to 4pm on Saturdays. For all emergency maintenance that occurs inside these hours please call the office number 01273 622664 and one of our team will be able to deal with the issue and liaise with our maintenance teams.

For all non-emergency maintenance it is best to email the office on maintenance@qestateagents.co.uk so a written record can be kept of maintenance problems.

Emergency maintenance is where there is a risk of damage to the fabric of the property or to life. If an emergency does come up outside of office hours and it cannot either wait until we are open or damage reducing measures can’t be taken i.e. turning off the water stop cock or gas to the property, then you should use the numbers below. If for any reason no one picks up on the numbers provided then you will be required to look up an alternative emergency contractor for the specific problem.

If an emergency contractor is required, whether it be one provided below, or one you find yourself, only the bare minimum works required to make the property safe or halt the emergency should be carried out (e.g. turning off the water, isolating the leak or turning off the gas). With any further remedial works being booked in by Q Estate Agents during office hours.

Please make sure you have taken a common-sense approach to any issue that arises and checked to make sure the problem does not have a simple solution, such as checking the fuse board doesn’t just need resetting or using a plunger for a toilet blockage.

If you smell gas, turn off the gas to the property and alert the gas network immediately on 0800 111999. Gas shut-off valves are noted in the schedule of condition/inventory and often found on or next to the gas meter.
